Susan Coleman and associate designer, David Earp, share the idea that each client’s home environment should seamlessly represent his or her taste and lifestyle.  Easterly Coleman is defined as distinctively different, and is not simply based on attention to detail and quality materials, but personalization.  Susan and David agree that designing a home environment that fits within their own style and personality would be easy; they take the time to challenge themselves and design home environments to characterize each client personally even if the client’s unique style runs completely different of their own. In initial assessments, they consider many factors to find the client’s unique style and begin their design process based upon their analysis. During a new home construction, Susan and David are often asked to be a guiding voice from foundation to completion.

Computer-Assisted Design (CAD) is widely used in their own and related fields; however, Susan and David prefer hand-drawn plans. This method allows them to have increased attention to detail and can determine what best serves the client.  Floor plans are drawn to scale; every line of the drawing requires thought not only about the finished product, but all of the possibilities between concept and completion.

Susan and David will then guide you on what to expect throughout each step until completion. Since they are a full-service design team, they are able to assist you from the ground up. Susan and David enjoy a challenge; therefore, they are willing to travel. Their work spans farther than Southwest Virginia and the Tri-Cities area. They are no strangers to beach houses in Hilton Head and rustic cabins in the Smoky Mountains and have even done work in the estates at the Virginian in Bristol.
